The Details

For those that do not remember 2020 was the year of covid. The committee came together on October 4th 2019 at Ferrari's in Grapevine to start planning the event. We had a good meeting to start things off and decided to meet up again in early 2020. We met at the Piaf Kitchen 2/7/2020 at 7:30 and the planning was in full effect.

Then Covid hit. We spent the next year waiting for news that Covid would be lifted and we could get this party started. Finally April 2021 we had another meeting to get back on track.

We set the date and started planning. The committee members had several planning sessions and worked extensively through group chats to make this event happen. All the committee members contributed their time, energy and skills to this event and it truly shows in the quality of the event.

On a side note, we had a pre reunion get together at The Third Rail bar in Grapevine. This may have been a mistake but was fun nonetheless.

The reunion went off without a hitch. The Club offered us a deal on drink so we had to have an impromptu credit card charge table at the door which complicated things but the drinks were well worth it. The food was excellent. A nice buffet spread was enjoyed by all. There was a DJ but as we are getting up in years no one really seemed to be in a dancing mood.

After the reunion a bunch of classmates continued the celebration down town grapevine. The chill bar was were most ended up. It is a great venue and they eventually had to kick us all out.

I want to sincerly thank all the committee members for their help and support for this reunion. Putting on an event like this is no small task. Having a team encouraging each other and being there during the special circumstances we ran across during this make it all the more special that it was a success. We as a committee want to thank all who attended because without our classmates this would have been a really elaborate dinner for 7. :)
